"You discovered a walking, talking dummy and you didn't tell me?!".
Just kidding, but it looks like a ton of fun!
Sony Pictures have released the first trailer for the upcoming Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween! This time, Halloween is coming to life in a brand new adventure that brings some of R.L. Stine's scariest creations to the big screen, direct from the pages of his 400 million selling series of YA horror novels.
Except this time, the previous roster of creatures will be joined by a few new faces, such as the scarecrow from The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight (1994) and the swamp beast from How to Kill a Monster (1996).
Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs), Madison Iseman (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Chris Parnell (Archer), and Ken Jeong (Dr. Ken) round out the cast.
The first installment, starring Black, Dylan Minnette, and Odeya Rush, grossed $150.1 million in worldwide box office. The first film made $156.7 million on a $58 million budget, and hit #1 on the sales charts when it was released on home video.
This go-around in the Stine-verse is lacking the Jack Black of the original, but the film did add budding horror star Jeremy Ray Taylor to the mix.
While Jack Back doesn't seem to be reprising the role of R.L. Stine in the new movie, there are a wave of new actors joining the franchise. And we never see Stine in the trailer above, which is odd. Check it out in the player below along with the first poster and images in the gallery!
Haunted Halloween will creep into cinemas on 12 October this year.
