"There's a good chance that someone might miss their time", said Tiger Woods, who is staying on his 155-foot yacht, named Privacy, in nearby Montauk.
Tiger Woods confirmed to the media that he is indeed staying on his huge yacht during the US Open, one of golf's biggest competition.
The former world number one watched last year's US Open at Erin Hills from afar, still in the early stages of his recovery from spinal fusion surgery and unsure if he would resume his golf career. "So far it has been nice to get away from the tournament scene and go there to my dinghy there and just really enjoy it". "A lot of this is pure bonus because of where I was". It makes it a little easier for the intensely competitive superstar to take the ups and downs of his comeback in stride.

But he struggled on the greens and after he electrified the crowd at Muirfield Village by briefly putting his name atop the leaderboard on Saturday he finished tied for 23rd. Woods laughed and said, "I'm not opposed to that".
"I understand it because everyone wants to see a result on Sunday", Woods said.
"What I did at Memorial, I just didn't feel comfortable over it".

Woods' season to date includes a runner-up finish at the Valspar Championship in March and a tie for fifth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I haven't really got a chance to walk about a little bit, but certainly will this week.
"Then again, not happy with the fact that I didn't win because I loved how it felt being there".
"So, I know there has been a few guys this week who've complained it's been taking them two to three-and-a-half hours, so there is a good chance someone might miss their (tee) time".
"I've had my opportunities". But also, I'm very thankful to have had those opportunities. Can I actually participate in my kids' lives again?
