The Premier League has increased in power year-on-year and many view worldwide football as secondary to the glitz and glamour of the Champions League.
Kane, though, told the English daily newspapers this is not the case with the present group under Gareth Southgate - as many of them have played with each other at Under-21 level.
"We are seeing a team that is enjoying each other's company, getting on well, is very proud to represent the nation".
"I've talked before about there being a disconnect between the supporters and the team and I've felt that there's different ways to bridge that".
England have won just one match in their last two World Cups and Southgate said: "We hope we can send people to work the following day having enjoyed our matches". First and foremost we will run around and do that aspect of the game.
"He is a victor - any criticism he has faced in the last few weeks I know he will just ignore".
Southgate added: "I think there was a shift in November when we brought in some of the younger players".
"I have worked my whole life to get to where I am now in a World Cup squad, and to showcase my talent on the World Cup stage, playing in my position".
England will adopt an aggressive approach to their World Cup fixtures and tackle the tournament "head on" as Gareth Southgate's youthful squad hopes to make its mark in Russian Federation, captain Harry Kane has said.
Yet Kane says he has constantly placed the England team above whichever club he supported, even from a young age. My mates used to buy Real Madrid or Barcelona shirts when we were on holiday in Spain but I was always England.
It is, perhaps, what makes him the ideal candidate to lead the country in Russian Federation and beyond. "I captained my Sunday League team the Spurs youth team and occasionally wore the armband as vice-captain for Spurs", he said. "I want to play right back". I like to lead by example. But I was wearing the strapping before and I just haven't stopped wearing it yet.
