Ball, Kuzma reportedly asked to tone down roasts

That seems like sound advice, especially considering the Lakers are trying to recruit some of the biggest free agents on the market this summer.

The meeting was a response to a diss track Ball wrote about Kuzma that was so personal it went in on Kuzma's biological father not being around. That followed a season of social media shots at each other - playful shots, the pair remains friends - but the intensity was increasing.

The Los Angeles Lakers have spoken to Ball and Kuzma about toning down their "feud" following Ball's rap song that insulted Kuzma earlier this week, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Ohm Youngmisuk.

Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma have roasted each other on social media a good bit since becoming teammates this past season, but the latest round of ribbing resulted in a meeting with Lakers management, according to ESPN. Instead, the team's priorities appear to be getting hijacked by a seemingly petty but distracting issue over the friendly social media razzing between Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. After dealing with a social media fiasco involving the D'Angelo Russell-Nick Young video in 2016, the Lakers wanted to make sure to nip things in the bud before the potential of anything escalating.

Young adults often don't know where the line is on these kinds of things, and they cross it more easily.
