Manchester United take too many touches while building attacks, says Nemanja Vidic following the 1-0 defeat by West Brom.
He told Sky Sports: "Today they didn't show what we expected, the energy going forward, that burst or sprint. It was too slow, which was disappointing", he said.
"That is my worry, I'd like to see United playing faster, quicker with the ball. For a team who is in the top seven who concede that many goals, I think they are doing well to be in that position".
"They didn't move well without the ball, they didn't move fast".
Jose has no problem looking to the next player he wants to bring in as his spending continues at United, but the underlying factor is that he is not getting the most out of this group of players and Vidic may have hit the nail on the head about their poor team spirit.
"It's sad to see Man United lose at home to West Brom, a team who have won just three games all season".
Arsenal had six players in their own half to cover three opposition men in the build-up to Matt Ritchie's winning strike, leaving former Manchester United skipper Vidic with little doubt as to where the Londoners need to improve ahead of next season.
Manchester United will now have to dust themselves down as they prepare for their FA Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
"It seems like he is saying there is a problem with mentality in the players".
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013. But the celebrations of the win, though it was fantastic, should have stopped for the players once they left the stadium because despite the victory, City were always going to be Premier League champions, and not United. [You get] two hours to celebrate, go on holiday and the manager is thinking about the next season.
