After the launch of the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco edition in India last week, HMD Global which now holds the license to manufacture smartphones under the Nokia brand is expected to introduce a new variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage in India.
It's been barely a few days since HMD Global Oy's Nokia 6 (2018) base model went on sale in India and now the company is planning to launch a top-end variant with higher RAM and storage capacity. Airtel customers can also avail Rs 2,000 cashback on purchasing the new Nokia 6, effectively bringing the price down to Rs 14,999.
It is a decent mid-range phone.
The device runs a near stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo and sports a 5.5- inch FHD (1920x1080p) display and is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery.
The highlight of the Nokia 6 (2018) is its camera hardware.
Nokia's device carries a 16MP rear Carl Zeiss camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED dual-tone flash. Also, the company has promised to release a software update with camera improvements including the Nokia's Dual Sight/Bothie feature, which is available in flagship Nokia 8 series. We believe this feature will be a huge hit among social media-savvy consumers.
Coming to the specifications of the Nokia 6 (2018), the device sports a 5.5-inch IPS full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Nokia has already made a reputation for providing updates really fast, sometimes even beating Google's own Pixel lineup of devices, and in a bid to improve this device is now enrolled in the Android One program promising even faster updates to it, now what can be faster than beating Google Pizel?
This apparently gives the HMD Global oy's phone an edge over the aforementioned rival brands. Please do share your thoughts in the comments section below.
