The Gold actor had already shot for a war scene today and soon after he left, the whole set turned into ashes. But now that it is totally destroyed in the fire, the makers would have to build it from scratch again, as more than 10 days of shoot is still remaining. While the set designs of the movie have been massively destroyed. The source further added, "Though, the explosion was a massive one, not a single person from the crew was injured".
The fire broke out just ten days before the Kesari team was about to wrap the schedule. A huge part of the film's sets was severely damaged.
Akshay Kumar has returned back home after completing his portions, while the female lead Parineeti Chopra is now enjoying her vacations in Australia. Film is based upon the Battle of Saragarhi fought by Sikh warriors and Akshay is playing the leader of that troop.
The fire was brought under control and fortunately no one was hurt, a Satara Police control roolm official told PTI.
Though there were no casualties, the shooting of the film has been put on hold.
The film is being jointly produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Azure Entertainment. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra and is being directed by Anurag Singh. Kesari is slated for Holi release next year.
