During the Supergirl hour of "Crisis on Earth X", fans were introduced to a mysterious young woman who was working as a caterer at Barry and Iris' wedding.
Fans will remember seeing Jessica Parker Kennedy's mystery waitress brief interaction with Barry Allen moments before his wedding. While many fans have speculated that she's related to Barry and Iris, executive producer Todd Helbing says that fans haven't yet figured out who she is. The character shared an unusual amount of enthusiasm when meeting the couple but never gave her name. "I don't think anybody ever is going to guess exactly what it is". We hope so, but it does seem as though some of the theories out there about her (with the prevailing one being Dawn Allen) may not be altogether true.
The fans are about to witness a role-reversal in the upcoming episode of the CW's "The Flash" season 4.
"Every year, there are theories all over the place about what we're doing ..."
Another theory is that the mystery girl is Jenny Ognats, Dawn's daughter, which would make her Barry's granddaughter.
See screen grabs of Candice Patton's Iris West-Allen with powers alongside a powerless Barry (Grant Gustin) below.... they're great if you're unable to follow along at super speed. Fans have also wondered if she could be the new female speedster that's been training with Jay Garrick to be the new Flash of Earth-3. It appears that the new metahuman in town, Matthew/Melting Pot (guest star Leonardo Nam), transferred Barry's super speed genes to Iris in an unexpected turn of events. It's the 16th episode of season 4 and will bring viewers into a multi-week break from the Scarlet Speedster and the rest of Team Flash.
We may learn more about the mystery girl in the coming weeks. All that's left for her to meet is Joe (Jesse L. Martin).
