Jahan had alleged that Shami was with Alishba in Dubai as the Indian cricket team returned from South Africa and added that Alishba offered money to him.
She also claimed that Shami met Pakistani girl Alishba and could be involved in match fixing.
Md Shami's wife Hasin Jahan on Monday recorded her statement before the Alipore third additional district magistrate for almost two-and-a-half hours.
Jahan had alleged that Shami took money from Alishba on the insistence of an England-based businessman Mohammed Bhai.
Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan said Monday, March 19 Alishba wanted to "destroy" her family life before refuting claims made by the Pakistani model about her "friendship" with the India cricketer. Alishba later confessed meeting Shami, however denied giving any money to the Indian player. "I don't know but if he can fraud me he can fraud the country too", Hasin had said in an interaction with ABP News. She said, "Mohammed Shami is a very honest person".
"I am a frequent flyer to Dubai because my sister stays in Sharjah".
"If Mohammed Shami can cheat me then he can cheat the county as well". As any fan who has idolised a celebrity, they always dream of meeting their idol. I came to know that he [Shami] was flying back home from South Africa via Dubai co-incidentally I was also travelling there going to my sisters' place. "I visited the hotel next morning at around 8-9 a.m. and had a breakfast with him [Shami]". Shami is heard saying another person by the name of "Mohammed Bhai" had sent money to Md.
In his letter to Kumar, Rai wrote: "The Committee of Administrators is concerned only with such portion of the said audio recording in which the person who it is claimed is Md".
Hasin Jahan, accompanied by her lawyers, today arrived at the Alipur Court to record her statement before a judicial magistrate as per directive by the court.It is expected that the statement will be recorded in the Room No. 3 of magistrate Neha Sharma shortly.
