Recently, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel announced plans to redesign Snapchat in order to make it easier to use and those announcement are being rolled out but there is huge outpouring of hatred for the new look. The brand new Snapchat has algorithm-powered interface.
The biggest criticism against the new Snapchat design is that it was disorganized compared to the old version of the app. We'll update this story if any workarounds pop up. For longtime Snapchat users, the new design is utterly confusing. Naturally, people are wondering if it's possible to get the old Snapchat back, and while it's indeed possible right now, it's a hassle.
For iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads, Twitter user Clare James shared instructions on how to bring back the old Snapchat.
While it works, it's far from a permanent solution. It is hard for the user to get back to the old design and there is less likely that company will go back to previous design. Users should make sure that their Memories are backed up before trying either one of the above two methods. This is only a trick, so be aware, you may lose your memory. Force closing the app or restarting your phone will cause the app to revert to the new update once again when you reopen it, and eventually we assume the loophole will close for good. In the meantime, Snapchat users will have to decide whether to start getting themselves accustomed to the new design, or hold on to the old one.
