Airtel's same Rs 93 prepaid pack earlier offered unlimited calls (local, STD, and roaming calls), 1GB 3G/ 4G data, and 100 SMS per day with 10 days validity.
Airtel's latest offer is in response to Jio's Rs. 98 plan, which offers 2GB 3G/4G data, unlimited calling and 300 SMSes for 28 days. Interested customers can head over to Vodafone website or application to change the postpaid plan. This plan also comes bundled with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. Airtel's Rs 93 prepaid recharge will now offer 28 days of validity to users along with 1GB data in total. However, this new plan is not available in Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir & Bihar circles.
The new plan by Airtel costs a mere Rs. 93 which will offer unlimited local as well as STD calls.
Just days after Reliance Jio started offering a validity period of 28 days with its Rs 98 pack, Airtel too has increased the validity period of its Rs 93 tariff plan to 28 days. So the big change here is the number of days validity. So far, Reliance Jio's Rs 98 pack, a part of its Republic Day offer, was among the cheapest plans with nearly a month-long validity.
Having said, Airtel with its ₹93 prepaid plan tries to compete with Reliance Jio's prepaid plan priced at ₹98.
Airtel has some offers for its postpaid users also, the Rs 399 plan offers 20 GB data and the unused data will be added in next billing cycle with Unlimited calling STD/local. Users in Jio's app also get access to the company's suite of apps and the initial validity was 14 days. For Delhi, Mumbai and some other circles, it will be available to limited subscribers only.
For users outside these circles, the validity of the pack will for now continue to be 10 days. Free outgoing national roaming is also bundled with this prepaid recharge plan.
