With the Cheddar Man a hot topic in social media, Nehlen jumped on the subject with disastrous results. Markle's face in the photo is replaced with that of Cheddar Man, a rendering of a man created from the DNA of a fossil found in the southwest England village of Cheddar. The cruel post, which was captioned: "Honey, does this tie make my face look pale", was branded as "sick" by Patrick, who penned a lengthy tweet against the comment. In the photo, Prince Harry was beside the Suits actress. Nehlen wrote in the caption.
Nehlen refused to take down the photo amidst outrage from the public.
Markle's co-star in the legal drama Suits, Patrick J. Adams, called Nehle "a sad and sick man with no sense of shame or class".
"Publishing an article disappearing whites or dispossessing whites of their homelands is wrong; made worse when claiming "science" to "prove" whites never existed", he wrote in a tweet.
It might not be shocking to note that Nehlen is a Trump supporter, self-proclaimed "constitutional conservative", white supremacist, and member of the alt-right who has been backed by Steve Bannon in the last election, which he handily lost to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. "I made a joke of it. It's not a laughing matter, so I chose to laugh about it", he wrote.
His campaigns hadn't borne much fruit at the polls - Mr. Ryan won the 2016 primary by 70 percentage points.
Nehlen has been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as "a defiant mouthpiece for the racist "alt-right", and in Janaury was suspended from Twitter for a week for violating rules banning anti-Semitic content.
The list wasn't Mr. Nehlen's first venture into anti-Semitism, having once tweeted "Poop, incest, and pedophilia".
