PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Sunday, said the fact that the APC had to recourse to brute force and allocation of ballots to gain votes in the bye-election in Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency, which ordinarily should have been for them, a walk in the park, being President Buhari's constituency, shows that the party has pathetically lost it all. But unfortunately, the former Lagos state governor cannot do magic because it's already late and nothing will come out of it.
He, however, expressed concern over the possibility of exercise turning out a success and whether the efforts will not be in futility having taken a long time for the presidency to listen to his calls, saying "Asiwaju Tinubu cannot do magic because it's already late". While he congratulated the APC national leader on his new role and prayed God to grant him (Tinubu) the needed wisdom to carry out the assignment, though I know that it is too late.
"There is no doubt that Jagaban is the right person to do this job of reconciliation". Although some people might not like this truth, but I will continue to say it.
VON DG equally expressed optimism that Asiwaju would mend fences with the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun. But thank God that today, I have been vindicated because all eyes can see clearly what Chief Oyegun's style of leadership has done to the ruling party.
Saying the committee should have been set up about one year ago, Frank, who is one of the aggrieved APC members, said nobody took him serious when he raised an alarm that all was not well with the party.
On whether he was aware of the insinuations in the media that Tinubu's invitation is being resisted by his supporters, who felt that the he was sidelined, he said: "I don't want to comment on speculation, all I know is that our brothers in the Southwest appreciate the critical foundation President Muhammadu Buhari is laying nationwide in infrastructural development". Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Gov. Umar Ganduje in Kano, Sen. "Magnus Abe in Rivers state, Senator Dino Melaye and Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi state, former governor of Edo state Adams Oshiomohle and Chief John Oyegun in Edo, Crisis in Ondo, Lagos, Gombe, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Osun, Ekiti, Jigawa, Niger, Delta states and so on?"
"The resort to primitive cheating and deployment of heavily armed security forces to muscle votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in last Saturday's House of Representatives bye-election in Katsina State has further shown that President Muhammadu Buhari and his party have completely lost popularity among Nigerians, even in the President's home state".
He added, "The crisis rocking the party were not caused by Tinubu, but the ineptitude of Chief John Oyegun led NWC".
Comrade Timi Frank says what the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected to fix in the APC was caused by the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun's, indecision. Oyegun has been the major problem of APC, who led the party to this dilapidated state which Tinubu is about to fix. "But it is unfortunate at the sometime that the crisis rocking the party across board have gone out of hand".
