LOS ANGELES A 29-year-old rideshare driver missing more than a week was found Monday in a Los Angeles hospital, according to media reports.
Stracke said he hadn't noticed anything unusual about the vehicle until he heard the auto alarm going off and looked outside to see around six officers searching it with a Bloodhound.
Janet, His mother, said that his call logs revealed that her son, or whoever used her son's phone, called 911 at 2:32 p.m. on February 12, yet the caller said nothing and hung up. (The) bloodhound went in.
The Los Angeles Police Department is working with Uber and Lyft to get more details about Thiede that could assist investigators in the search.
"His last call was to 911", Janet Thiede, the mother of Joshua Thiede, wrote on Facebook. "Honestly, it didn't really feel real to me until after the news stations started calling", friend Yokeena Jamar said.
Loved ones have said that the ride-sharing apps have not given them any information about the last passenger Thiede may have driven.
His mom said she usually speaks with him every day. He stands about 6-feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Thiede is described as white with brown hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what he was wearing when he went missing.
