Reports came from entertainment reporter for Mashable, Josh L. Dickey, in which he claimed that the 51-year-old director was relieved of his directorial duties for "Justice League" more than a year ago.
Obviously both reasons can be true, but according to veteran reporter Josh L. Dickey - who is leaving the journalism business and made a decision to dish some dirt on Twitter - he was sacked around January/February 2017. You can also see the famous Justice League of America sign sticking out of the rubble.
Based on what we know, this new tweet is likely true.
Obviously, Snyder's personal situation played a part in why this story was kept out of circulation and the end result was ultimately the same - Snyder was out, Whedon was in. Snyder is also yet to announce his next project, but it is expected that he will remain listed as an executive producer on the likes of Aquaman and Wonder Woman 2. While the truth matters, the exact reason for Snyder's departure wasn't vital information because the outcome was still the same-he was off Justice League and Joss Whedon was brought on board.
"Since I'm shifting into DGAF mode, here's a hot one for ya: Zack Snyder was sacked from the DCEU just over 1 year ago".
Superman has been one of the biggest superhero characters for decades, and on screen he has teamed up Batman and gone into battle for one epic movie with the Justice League. You'd think the drama over Justice League would be over now that it's been released for months, but here it is again, being dragged, kicking and screaming, back out into the sunlight.
Nicolas Cage very almost became Superman - and we really don't know what to think.
