Mike Kistner, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Charleston, said Huntington could see another 2 to 4 inches of rainfall in the next five to six days beginning Wednesday.
In Augusta, the Riverwalk along Riverside Drive had mostly disappeared beneath the flood water by Sunday afternoon and the city river park was also flooded. The river is to rise above flood stage Monday evening and crest near 16 feet around 7 p.m. Thursday, with additional rises possible thereafter. The river is to rise above flood stage early Tuesday and crest near 15 feet around 7 p.m. Wednesday, falling below flood stage around 10 a.m. Friday.

Water got into some of the park's buildings on the island, but didn't impact the historical structures like Blennerhassett Mansion and the Putnam-Houser House, he said.
The area remains under a flood warning until early Tuesday morning but the Tennessee River at Florence finally is expected to dip below flood level by this afternoon.
The wall protects the city to a river stage of 79 feet.
At stages near 55 feet, widespread backwater flooding can be expected and roads near the river become flooded, especially on the OH side of the river, according to NWS. "We're not expecting any serious flooding".
At stages near 54 feet, backwater flooding spreads up the lower Little Miami River as far upstream as Newtown, with flooding worsening in California and in Anderson Township.
"Anyone that lives along (the Ohio River) will have to watch", he said.
Kistner said the next reprieve from rainy weather will likely not arrive until the end of next week.
