HTC 10 which was launched in 2016, had very less numbers of sale.The new Android 8.0 Oreo update is now rolling out on HTC 10 unlocked version in US. The smartphone debuted a year ago in May and the makers had promised for the Oreo update then. Also, with this update, the company brought back the 'Fingerprint Swipe Gestures, ' which was removed in the Oreo update with version 7.12.29.
Adaptive Icons means on Android Oreo Edge will now be able to display different icons on different Android devices, and still fit in with the native look on the device e.g. the Samsung or HTC or default Android icon look. Additionally, the security patch has also been upgraded to the latest one. The update rolls out with over the air and hence it will take some time to reach out to your smartphone. There's more in store for the users of this smartphone in the future as face recognition and facial unlock are heading over to the phone as well.

To manually download the update, Android Police suggests user to download the 1.8GB RUU package from the official HTC site.
