This report was submitted in the wake of increasing number of child rape reports that have come to light after 6-year-old Zainab's body was found from a heap trash on Jan 9.

The suspects were arrested on the identification of Umar Farooq, who was arrested near Bhatta Chowk on Wednesday by Lahore police, and handed over to the JIT for further investigations.
The authorities said that the suspect's mobile phone location showed that he was in Kasur. Earlier, he had also confessed to killing a minor after raping her.
In two years, 1,297 cases of child rape were reported in Punjab; out of these, 66 cases were reported in Kasur, 38 in Sheikhupura, 50 in Khushab.
The JIT was working along the lines that the victim was kept in that house before being dumped on the pile of garbage.
Police say they have been continuously conducting operations and arresting on a daily basis suspected individuals, who, once questioned and cleared, are let go. JIT was also busy analyzing data of the census.
So far the JIT had investigated over 340 suspects in the case and tried matching their DNA with the prime suspect.
Despite having so many leads, a breakthrough still has to be made in the case, and according to an investigator, the "JIT was still groping in the dark".
Shahbaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab province, where Kasur is located, visited the town on Wednesday and held a meeting with officials on the investigation. The JIT briefed him about their efforts to solve the case.
