Apple has just seeded the fifth pre-release version of the upcoming iOS 11.2.5 to developers and beta testers. However, you would have the option available to switch to other podcasts like CNN, Fox News or NPR. So it's safe to assume that the upcoming iOS 11.2.5 would most likely focus on delivering bug fixes and security improvements. Usually, once a new version is out, the previous one will be signed for a couple of weeks, after which Apple pulls the plug on it entirely. Meanwhile, public beta testers should head to Settings General Software Update to obtain beta 5 over-the-air. So far, the only notable new feature is that Siri will play news-oriented podcasts when asking about current events. You can also ask Siri about the news when you're using CarPlay and even when headphones are connected.
The feature is said to only be accessible when users invoke Apple's digital assistant via voice and without looking at the display of their iOS device. Moreover, tapping the Home button to bring up Siri would show you Apple news headlines will be provided instead of the audio news highlights. Mobile devices that are not able to upgrade to iOS 11 will no longer be compatible with the new update, so if you've been holding out on getting that new iPhone here's another reason to think about trading up. Nonetheless, we will let you guys know as soon as they are discovered. Moreover, you will not be able to work on iPads that are not updated to the now available iOS 11.
According to reports, the company has integrated several new features and enhancements to Pokemon Go, which will work only with latest smartphones running iOS 11 and above. Share your views with us in the comments.
