Alexis Sanchez is not certain to start against Bournemouth, as his relationship with the Arsenal squad and staff has deteriorated against the backdrop of his expected move this month to Manchester City or Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger has since noted that nothing has been decided regarding Sanchez but Gianluca di Marzio claimed on Friday that United were leading the race to secure his signature after Pep Guardiola refused to improve his offer of £20m.
In the tweet below, Ferdinand explains that he would love to see Sanchez join United and that he will personally direct the Chilean to Old Trafford to help push a move.
Mourinho had been keen to make a move for Sanchez during the summer window, but both the Portuguese and United believed that City had a deal all-but agreed for the former Barcelona man.
Asked if a resolution was imminent, Wenger added: "Yes, but don't read too much into it because even I don't know what way it will go".
It is hard to envisage Sanchez staying beyond January, but Arsenal will not sell him unless they can bring in a replacement, with a £35m bid for 20-year-old Malcom expected this week.

Then along came Manchester United, who were willing to better City's offer with a £35 million bid of their own or a part exchange involving Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
He says he feels sorry for Arsenal fans who will have to soon watch Sanchez play for one of their rivals.
