The X-Men are boldly going where they've never gone before.at least, not in the movies. However, Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) begins to push Mystique's X-Men team into more risky missions - a decision that leads to the creation of the world-ender known as the Dark Phoenix. Every X-Men fan is aware that Jean Grey is one very powerful mutant, and this photo shows she's truly a force to be reckoned, even at a young age. In Dark Phoenix, Jean and the team will head to space for a rescue mission and encounter obstacles along the way. In fact, Charles Xavier lands on the cover of TIME magazine, and with his newfound inflated ego he starts sending the team on more risky missions. Dark Phoenix will hit theaters on November 2nd, 2018, and will have Simon Kinberg at the helm. But his growing ego puts the team at risk.
Sophie Turner has never looked hotter. The film will delve into the destruction that Dark Phoenix wreaks upon both Earth and Jean Grey's relationship with her fellow X-Men and beloved mentor Charles Xavier. After a solar flare hits the X-Jet, a surge of energy taps into the power-hungry force within Jean: The Phoenix.
"This is probably the most emotional X-Men we've done and the most pathos-driven", James told the magazine.
Based partially on Chris Claremont's comic, Phoenix will feature some of the series' biggest set pieces to date, including the X-Men's first trip to outer space.
Though, be prepared: "There's a lot of sacrifice and a lot of suffering". "It's about the butterfly effect of this thing happening", says Turner, who studied schizophrenia and multiple personality disorders to prepare.
When it was announced that Oscar-nominated actress would play a villain in the flick, many assumed it would be Shi'ar Empress Lilandra Neramani because that character factors heavily into the Dark Phoenix comic storyline.
