Well, the OTA update for these Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro smartphones are not available to any owners yet, however you can still manually request for this update by using the Huawei Mobile Services app. I will update this report as and when I hear about the roll-out. The beta program is now live and will run until November 3.
Being one of the most smartphone selling giant, Huawei has got a bunch of smartphones for all kinds of people out there.
Huawei is also seeding the Android 8.0 Oreo update to its Honor 9 and Honor V9 handsets in China. The company is only looking for 250 volunteers, so if you want to test the update, you have to be quick. For the time being the update is available in China only, but a worldwide push out is expected by the end of the month.
After downloading the Beta FUT app, you can sign in with your Huawei ID and start waiting for the over-the-air (OTA) Android 8.0 beta release. You can simply go through simple updation process for the Android Oreo update right from the application. "As the world's first AI enabled smartphone, it uses AI technology to give people a smarter, faster, more intuitive user experience, empowering them to unlock their potential and achieve their ambitions". If you don't have the same version, you are out of luck.
Apart from these regular features of Oreo update, there will also be AI-related features, a digital assistant with voice commands, translation and more, a Samsung DeX-like PC mode, Dynamic Wallpaper which changes the wallpaper as your day progresses, LinkedIn Built-In giving users the option to sync their contact lists with their LinkedIn accounts and One-Step Shortcut for adding app shortcuts to the home screen.
