Charlie Brooker's dystopian show, which satirises modern society and our use of technology, has received widespread critical acclaim for the its eerie resemblance to the current society and its ever-increasing dependence on technology. At that point, trailers for five out of six episodes had already been released. Black Mirror is sticking with the series staple of six episodes per run, which is probably plenty to make you feel uneasy about adopting the latest tech but won't have your flinging an iPhone X out of the nearest window.
Here are the teasers for the episodes. Crocodile stars Andrea Riseborough, Andrew Gower, Kiran Sonia Sawar, and is directed by John Hillcoat.
Arkangel follows a single mother and her daughter over the course of several years as the daughter matures. Starring Georgina Campbell, Joe Cole, and George Blagden, and helmed by Tim Van Patten.
USS Callister is a feature length episode set in space. It has been directed by Toby Haynes and stars Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel.
Shot in black and white, Metalhead looks to be going for pure thrills and scares by following the story of a character who finds a killer robot "dog", seemingly drawing inspiration from Terminator and The Hound of the Baskervilles, and playing on paranoia some people have about drones. It stars Maxine Peake, Jake Davies, and Clint Dyer. That episode, directed by David Slade, will be in black-and-white.
Black Museum follows the story of a young woman who visits the museum and learns about a few specific attractions, allowing the episode to tell multiple, shorter stories within.
Black Museum stars Douglas Hodge, Letitia Wright, Babs Olusanmokun, and Aldis Hodge. You can check out the official trailers for Black Mirror Season 4 below, courtesy of Netflix's YouTube account and be sure to check in on December 29th to watch the episodes.
