Apple's wireless earphones are now estimated for delivery in early January if ordered today from Apple's online store in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, and several other countries. AirPods now cost $159.
It was expected to take Apple until early January to catch up with demand for the handset, it looks like they have now managed to catch up.
Tim Bajarin, an analyst with Creative Strategies, said it shouldn't be a surprise that the AirPods sold out. Apple had supply problems with the iPhone X, which made people wait several weeks if they wanted Apple's flagship product. Kuo believes Apple will sell more than 26 million AirPods next year alone. This means that if you are set on gifting someone the Bluetooth powered wireless ear buds for the holidays, you might have to make it a belated Christmas present. Bottom line: they're hard to find anywhere.
