The incident occurred about 150 feet from the hospital's ER in the Amherst Road parking lot.
Affinity Medical Center said for the safety of patients, staff and visitors, the hospital was on lockdown for a time. Both were pronounced dead inside the hospital Monday.
According to the practice's website, Seese was called "Skip" by everyone who knew him. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Brownsville, N.J., and returned to OH in 1992.
"It appears at this time that he targeted the doctor specifically", Moser said.
As many as five shots were fired. Fox 8 reports that police found six shell casings at the scene.
