Following the launch of the device that rolled out with Android Nougat 7.1.2, it now appears to be receiving November Security Update.
The new update is about 466.9 MB in size and arrives as an over-the-air (OTA) update.
As a part of Google's Android One initiative to bring latest Android updates to third-party smartphones, Mi A1 users are being served a huge software update. The latest OTA update includes improvements to the overall performance, security and stability of the Mi A1. There are not many new changes and improvements brought to the system UI with the rollout of this update, claims a report by TheAndroidSoul. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has rolled out this update after some of the other manufacturers. The Chinese tech giant has received a lot of praise for its Android One smartphone as users get the premium experience with the perks of stock Android at an affordable price. However, it is pretty good to see the Mi A1 get the latest update. Going by this timeline, we expect stable updates to be sent out towards the end of Q1 2018. The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p display with the 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection. The Oreo update for the Mi 6, for example, will likely be the only full Android update it receives, as it was launched on Nougat. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM speed, the handset offers 64GB of internal storage with an option expand via microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Mi A1 sports a dual 12 MP (26mm, f/2.2; 50mm, f/2.6) with 2x optical zoom and dual tone (Dual LED) flash.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 is bundled with connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM with a hybrid SIM card slot, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
