The table on CBS' "The Talk" is shaking up once again.
In June, former host Aisha Tyler announced her departure from the show, explaining that she wanted to take time to focus on her other projects and directing career, as the latter is what she "wants to do with the rest of my life".
14, Grammy-winner Eve was announced as the show's newest co-host - and we couldn't be more excited about this addition!
"The women were thrilled when they heard Eve would be joining the show and can't wait to start talking and engaging her in the conversation", CBS exec Angelica McDaniel, who oversees daytime programming at the network, tells Variety. "The great success of "The Talk' is due to the undeniable chemistry and bond of friendship between the hosts". "Eve is a natural fit with our dynamic group of Daytime Emmy Award-winning hosts, and brings a fresh perspective and bold point of view as an accomplished artist, businesswoman, and wife who is raising four stepchildren and looking to add to her family". She'll continue to appear as a series regular on CBS' "Criminal Minds" as well as hosting The CW's revival of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
"When I first got the first call in London, my manager told me about the opportunity, and at first I was like, 'I don't know, because it's far from from home, '" she exclusively tells PEOPLE. "She was like, 'Who's the host?' And now I can tell her".
Since Tyler's exit, "The Talk" has featured many guest co-hosts during its current eighth season.
