For now, Injustice 2 fans can look forward to playing as Hellboy which will be releasing tomorrow and concludes the second fighter pack for the game. I'm talking about none other than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The trailer starts with Raiden and Black Mantis being blasted down in a warehouse before it blows up thanks to some oil drums spilling over. After that, it cuts to Atom facing off against Enchantress.
Now if you came off the Suicide Squad movie and felt like Enchantress was one of the best parts about the film, you might be disappointed to find out that NetherRealm went in the complete opposite direction with her design for Injustice 2. Their fight is interrupted by the aforementioned Ninja Turtles. NetherRealm made sure to steer clear of the highly criticized depiction of the turtles in the CGI remakes produced by Michael Bay. The fan-service nods are off the scale in the trailer.
The Ninja Turtles and DC's superheroes have appeared in many games over the years but it's great to see them together in a title. It's possible that players will only get to play as one turtle at a time, instead of getting to pick one of the four.
Injustice 2 features a large roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favourite DC characters. Following that the characters will become available for those who paid extra for all the DLC character packs.
