Jody Warner worked as a prosecutor for the Dallas County District Attorney's Office until Monday.
The DA continued, "As public servants, we represent the people of Dallas County and are examples, of justice, professionalism, and ethical behavior both inside and outside of the courtroom".
Despite what may or may not have happened Friday night, Warner was sacked from her job by Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson on Monday afternoon. "Platt said it escalated after Warner told him to change directions from the route his Global Positioning System directed him to go and he got lost".
"She said "I'm the DA" and she said [to the cop] 'Can I speak with you?' and he pulled her aside away from me," Platt said.
Platt told the local newspaper that Warner, who appeared intoxicated, began hitting him on his shoulder and warned him that she was a district attorney. "I appreciate being given the opportunity to give my side".
The cop and Warner left in the police vehicle, Platt said. "But I didn't call the cops".
Added Warner, 'Who are they going to believe? "I'm a district attorney". The heated encounter between Jody Warner and driver Shaun Platt was caught on camera, and Warner addressed the situation publicly.
"Under the law, it's recklessly keeping me from where I was going, and you have done that, " she tells him. "I want to go home so badly but you're so stupid".
The woman proceeds to tell the driver that "everything's being recorded" as he continues to ask her to just get out of the auto. "I can tell you that not everything he said was true, I never touched him". "We'll wait for the cops then if that's what you think is appropriate".
"I'm not kidnapping you", Platt responded.
"Oh my God, you're an idiot". Warner had accused Platt of refusing to take her home, beacuse he was allegedly not following the directions given by his navigational device.
Ignoring the driver's demands for her to leave the vehicle, she then told him, "Dude, everything's being reported", adding, "I'm an assistant district attorney so shut the [expletive] up".
He says he does not want Warner to lose her job.
"It's not kidnapping, ma'am".
Mr Platt however, pointed out that she was free to leave.
But she continued to accuse him of kidnapping her since he did not take her to the requested destination, while he repeatedly told her to exit the auto.
Warner's full apology released to the media addresses the incident: "I cringe whenever I hear or think about the things that I said that night".
The officer returned and Platt said he was afraid of being arrested.
"You're kidnapping me", she continued.
Platt: "I am waiting for the cops".
Warner deactivated her Twitter account Monday, the same day former Dallas prosecutor Peter Schulte took to her defense.
In the audio recording made by Platt, a woman is heard telling Platt he is an idiot.
In a press conference in Dallas on Tuesday, a teary-eyed Warner spoke to reporters and apologized for her language. She wrote, in part, "I am so excited to be a ROOKIE on Team Blonde this year and to participate in the incredible organization that is BvB Dallas ('Blondes v. Brunettes')".
