Fergie might not be joining FOX's new singing competition 'The Four' as a judge, but she'll still get plenty of face time because she's signed on to host. The show, which is set to premiere on January 4, undoubtedly sounds fun although it also sounds very much like some other reality TV singing competitions of days gone by (cough, The Voice, cough).
The Black Eyed Peas singer and solo act will be hosting the show, Entertainment Tonight reports, joining judges Sean "Diddy" Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Walk.
Fergie added, "I am looking forward to being by the contestants' sides during what could be the most important performances of their lives. Along with these unbelievable panelists whom I know and love, I hope my experiences as a solo artist and as a member of The Black Eyed Peas can help guide them in their quest to make it in the music industry".
The Four: Battle for Stardom was ordered to series in August. "So who better than her to help guide them as they fight their way to the finish", he said in a statement.
The Four features four singers, spanning all music genres, fighting to hold down their spot as newcomers vie for a spot in the foursome. The singer who is the last standing at the end of the competition will win and the show's panel of industry experts will guide the winner's career to help make him or her a breakout star.
