The team at Kotaku UK has reported that Capcom has not one, not two, but three different games planned under the Ace Attorney banner, including a pair of compilations to get fans excited for the new chapter, which will come last.
Without any futher evidence we can't possibly say that this rumour is true, but it would certainly make a lot of sense - the Ace Attorney series has been incredibly popular over the years on Nintendo systems and would be well-suited to the Switch's touchscreen.
The latest installment in the main "Ace Attorney" series is "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice" released on the Nintendo 3DS previous year. And the second is said to be a compilation of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice.
During the chat, new entries in the Ace Attorney series were mentioned specifically. The game is reportedly in development for both Switch and smartphones, and it's targeting a worldwide release in late 2018. But little did we know just how much Ace Attorney it would be bringing our way. It will apparently contain five cases "at launch" and will star Phoenix Wright as the protagonist. We'll be sure to bring you more information on this as soon as it becomes available.
