Speaking to Sky Sports during the global break the forward admitted his relationship with Benitez has been the key to his success.

"The gaffer has given me a lot of confidence and that is really important for me".
"It's been massive for me, really important and now I have to look after that confidence and give it back to the gaffer as well". He always tries to speak with you, to teach you a lot of things, to improve, what you can do better.
"I'm really happy to have been involved so much", said Perez, who took advantage of the worldwide break to return home to Tenerife.
"I adapted myself really quickly to Newcastle, it's a lovely city, the fans are incredible and the league is the best in the world", Perez said.

Despite Newcastle's up-and-down form since Perez joined the club in 2014, the attacker has been linked with a move back to Spain, with Barcelona reportedly interested last season.
The 25-year-old has had a succession of knee problems and has struggled so far since joining Liverpool, but Newcastle may be willing to offer the striker a chance on loan.
