Crystal Workman, the mother of actress of Ariel Winter, speaks with Inside Edition saying she is concerned about her daughter's fashion choices, September 19, 2017. And now, the actress doesn't even need to speak to send a message powerful - she can do it by just by wearing a shirt.
In regards to those allegations, Workman said, "No, I didn't". Clearly, the message of the shirt is tongue-in-cheek, since Winter has made it clear she is not here to please the crowd.
Winter also said, "People thought I was 24 when I was 12".
"No, I didn't. I don't know what she is talking about". We hear you loud and clear.
"Not only that her hypothetical situation is just thinking like something I would do - first of all, no studio would", she added.
"(In my opinion) Ariel is starving for attention", she added.
On whether she purposely tried to restrict the actress' food intake to keep her slender, Workman said: "Absolutely not".
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Winter shared that at the age of 7 she was already sexualized. If there was going to be a nude scene when I was that age, my mother would have a thousand percent said yes", but her mother fired back saying, "No, never.
She slammed Workman and "Inside Edition" for the interview in tweets Tuesday. I could tell she was hungry. "I think she craves the attention, and if it means throwing your mother under the bus and breaking her heart, she's going to do it". I really don't." When Inside Edition showed her photos of a 10-year-old Winter wearing a mini-dress and high-heels at a red carpet, Workman said: "She's one of the stars of the premiere.
Since then the Modern Family star has been locked in a very public feud with her estranged mum. Her older sister Shanelle Gray was granted custody of Ariel until she turned 18.
Workman says the actress' inflammatory comments about her are reigniting the feud between them.
