(Amber Tamblyn married Scary Movie 2 and Arrested Development star David Cross in 2012). "What I have experienced as an actress working in a business whose business is to objectify women is frightening", Tamblyn wrote in her op-ed. When she was starring in the series Joan of Arcadia as a 21 year-old, Tamblyn said that's when she first faced an on-set harassment problem with one of the show's crew members. She suggested that Woods had no right to talk since he had tried to invite her to Las Vegas when she was just 16 years old. She reported this to a producer, who claimed "there are two sides to every story".
"For women in America who come forward with stories of harassment, abuse and sexual assault, there are not two sides to every story, however noble that principle might seem", she wrote.
Tamblyn added, "Women do not get to have a side". They get to have an interrogation.
In response to Armie's tweet, Amber chose to add info and replied, "James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. Especially if that side happens to accuse a man of stature, then that woman has to consider the scrutiny and repercussions she'll be subjected to by sharing her side".
Tamblyn's fight with Woods began Sunday over Armie Hammer's gay-romance movie "Call Me by Your Name".
In recent days, Tamblyn was called a liar by Woods, who started a recent situation on social media. Woods objected to the relationship in the film between a 17-year-old and 24-year-old.
"I have been afraid of speaking out or asking things of men in positions of power for years", she said. "Mr. Woods called my account a lie".
Mr. Woods's accusation that I was lying sent me back to that day in that producer's office, and back to all the days I've spent in the offices of men; of feeling unsure, uneasy, questioned and disbelieved, no matter the conversation.Woods denied that this "troll" story ever occurred, which prompted Tamblyn to pen an open letter about Woods and misogyny in Teen Vogue. "Since I know people love to question the intengrity and honesty of women when they come forward with stories like this, here you go", she tweeted.
