Although The CW featured its first four-show crossover last season, the 'Invasion!' story arc only truly spanned three episodes - that of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, with only a short preview in that week's episode of Supergirl.
Mark your calendars - the DC Superhero Crossover is coming!
Supergirl Season 3 premieres on Monday, October 9 at 8/7c. The 4-way crossover will take place across two nights with Arrow moving to a special night and time.
Just like previous year, the three DC shows will partake in a two-night crossover - but this time, Arrow will be moving for one night only from its' new Thursday night slot to Monday.
Announced this morning during the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, the crossover will begin Monday, Nov. 27, with episodes of Supergirl and Arrow, followed Tuesday, Nov. 28, by The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
"We felt that it would be better and tighter in storytelling", Pedowitz said of the change. According Pedowitz, The CW didn't see a reason to have people wait until Thursday for Arrow to wrap things up or move Arrow back to its old Wednesday time slot for the event. "This was the best way to go".
Last year, the four shows crossed paths to battle the Dominators, across four nights.
"Let me just say, romance is in the air". In fact, there are now no plans to make the series a part of the Arrowverse.
But what do you think? "[We] may go back to four nights next year". Additionally, given the ratings and massively positive response from viewers, it's no wonder The CW wants to continue their annual crossover events - much to the delight of many fans.
