"If North Korea (DPRK) does anything in terms of even thinking about attack of anybody that we love or we represent or our allies or us. they should be very nervous", Trump said on Thursday.
The country's official newspaper, Rodong Simmun, reported that the huge intake of new military members came after the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) issued a statement regarding the new United Nations sanctions that were brought in on Monday (7 August).
"All the people are rising up across the country to retaliate against the U.S. thousands of times", Yonhap news agency quoted the Workers' Party newspaper as saying.
The EU also urged North Korea to immediately halt provocations, while calling on other related countries to seek the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula through peaceful ways.
A separate KCNA report said that rallies of youth, workers and trade union members took place at the Youth Park Open-Air Theater and the compound of the Monument to Party Founding on Friday to express their "absolute" support for their government's statement, which categorically rejected the recent UNSC sanctions resolution.
It adds China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten USA soil and the US retaliates, "China will stay neutral".
"This resolution was adopted on 5 August 2017 in response to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s ongoing nuclear-weapon and ballistic missile-development activities, in violation and flagrant disregard of previous UN Security Council resolutions", the EU's statement said.
