When Justice League rolls around this November, Ben Affleck's Batman won't just be driving around in his same-old Batmobile we saw in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fortunately, the news website has released the exclusive image prior to hype the masses for what lies inside the issue.
Entertainment Weekly has debuted a full look at Batman's Flying Fox in new Justice League concept art, which you can check out in the gallery below! Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborgand the Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. As more on Justice League came to light, we learned the team would eventually be Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, and a resurrected Superman - and nothing more was ever said about a seventh member, who may have been dropped around the same time the superhero team-up went from "Justice League Part One" to Justice League.
While the Flying Fox doesn't appear to be based on a preexisting Bat-vehicle, it does hearken back to the 1994 Elseworlds story Batman: Leatherwing, which reimagines the Dark Knight as a pirate whose ship is called - you guessed it - the Flying Fox. "There's a little bit of a Magnificent Seven aspect to it".
Production Designer Patrick Tatopoulos gave some details on the Flying Fox's capacity to carry other vehicles used by The Batman. "I didn't want to do a sleek airplane; it needed to feel like an extremely avant-garde classic". He boasts that it features the "maneuverability of a jet - but it can carry things". It has three levels - cargo in the bottom, a "cultural centre" in the middle for the team and a cockpit level at the top.
