Big B said "In 1982, when I was badly injured while shooting an action sequence for the film Coolie at that time during the treatment I was infected by dreaded virus Australian antigen Hepatitis B by one of the 200 donors". However, the new season will also be incorporating some new changes in the game format and the winnings as well.
After enthralling television audiences in previous editions of the reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will again host the ninth edition, to be aired on Sony entertainment television from August 28.Addressing a press conference in Mumbai last evening, Bachchan said, "Kaun Banega Crorepati celebrates the dreams and aspirations of the common man and their tryst with knowledge". Here are five new changes that KBC will introduce in the ninth season. To which Amitabh Bachchan replied, "Whoever it is, owners are they (pointing at the makers) I have to do as they say".
This latest season will be aiming to resonate the theme with today's young generations. This has been done to make it extremely rigorous and competitive for the participants. The Jio TV subscribers will be able to see the question along with its four options, as it is asked to the contestant on the show. This feature enables a contestant to tag along with a friend or partner to KBC 9 who can help him throughout the hard moments of the show. The game will be made more exciting with the introduction of a jackpot question for Rs 7 crore. This obviously puts a lot of pressure on the contestant but at the same time, it also challenges their knowledge and intellect and rewards them for the same if they manage to give the correct answer.
However, apart from Amitabh not many Bollywood celebs have expressed their views on the order. Celebrities will be seen accompanying some contestant as a Jodidaar or playing the game in order to raise funds for a social cause.
KBC was first aired in 2000.
Look forward to special episodes in Kaun Banega Crorepati 9, which will feature inspirational personalities as guest participants.
